Taylor’s Story

Taylor grew up in the cul de sacs of the small, foggy beach town of Aptos, CA. She grew up slowly, soaking up and enjoying every moment of being a kid. She loved school, holidays, Harry Potter, and family vacations. Today, she works as an Integration Analyst for the Enterprise Architecture & Security department of Montage Health in Monterey, CA. Taylor spends her free time playing tennis, riding her bike through Pebble Beach, eating delicious food made by Michael, and traveling whenever she can. She loves New York City, a good cocktail, eating snacks in bed, and blasting Taylor Swift in her car. Lately, she can be found reading a good book or practicing her Italian.

Michael’s Story

Michael was born and raised in Monterey, CA, and he was a kid who could never sit still. He played football and baseball all the way through highschool, then later picked up Brazilian jiu jitsu. Growing up in a big Italian family, Italian culture runs deep through his veins. He has traveled to Italy many times, and studied abroad there, immersing himself in the coffee trade. He channeled his love and knowledge for coffee into opening his own coffee import business, La Baia Coffee Supply. When he’s not working, he loves spending time in the kitchen replicating dishes from his travels, perfecting the art of making pizza dough, and watching the Italian national soccer team Gli Azzurri.

Our Story

Taylor and Michael were introduced in 2016 through mutual friends. They later saw each other again at the Big Sur Marathon, which neither of them participated in, and hit it off. They share a love of food, travel, and stand-up comedy. In 2017, they went on an unforgettable trip to France and Italy together, and Taylor fell in love with Florence. They got engaged on September 12th, 2020 in San Francisco beneath the lights of the Bay Bridge after a magical dinner at their favorite restaurant, Italico. They cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with their favorite people in a place that means so much to them both!
